Kong: Skull Island is a 2017 American monster film directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts and written by Dan Gilroy, Max Borenstein, and Derek Connolly. It is the second film in Legendary's MonsterVerse, following Godzilla (2014), and a reboot of the King Kong franchise. The film stars Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson, John Goodman, and John C. Reilly as a team of explorers who venture into an uncharted island in the Pacific Ocean and encounter a colossal ape named Kong, as well as other creatures that inhabit the island.
The film was released in both English and Hindi languages, with the latter dubbed by Indian actors. The Hindi version features the voices of Arshad Warsi as James Conrad (Tom Hiddleston), Chunky Pandey as Preston Packard (Samuel L. Jackson), Raveena Tandon as Mason Weaver (Brie Larson), Sanjay Mishra as Bill Randa (John Goodman), and Rajpal Yadav as Hank Marlow (John C. Reilly). The Hindi dubbing was done by Sound & Vision India, a Mumbai-based studio that has dubbed several Hollywood films for the Indian market.

The film received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike, who praised the visual effects, action sequences, cinematography, and performances of the cast, especially Reilly. The film was also a box office success, grossing $566 million worldwide against a budget of $185 million. It was nominated for Best Visual Effects at the 90th Academy Awards, but lost to Blade Runner 2049.
